taps, and the roll call of Bessemer's fallen---Memorial Day---the lilacs and tulips
of my childhood have given way to artificial blooms that weather summer's sun,
but much remains the same---the sheltering maples, the bluffs where crows and
ravens circle, the stones etched with names of family and friends---and we remember.
And so, at the Heritage Center, we have dedicated a Memoriam plaque on which names will be inscribed for a nominal donation. This will provide an opportunity for families to ensure a lasting remembrance of loved ones, and an assurance that their family name will not be forgotten, but will become a part of Bessemer history. You may contact any board member for further information. And now, we look forward to seeing you at the social honoring Dr. Peter Pairolero and his wife, B.J., on July 2, at the heritage center. And we wish you safekeeping on your journey. Catherine McLean - vice-president |
